Saturday Scores: Wings, Bulls complete sweeps

Amarillo Bulls leading scorer Logan Jenuwine had the shootout-winning goal to help the Bulls sweep Shreveport.

Brookings 2 @ Aberdeen 5 - The Aberdeen Wings finished their weekend sweep of the Brookings Blizzard as Jonathan Bendorf and Stepan Porkorny lit the lamp twice for Aberdeen. John Sladic found the back of the net for the Wings as well. Matt Vernon was very good in net as he allowed just two goals on 28 shots. John Kaljian and Luke Aquaro provided the offense for the Blizzard and George McBey made 43 saves in a losing effort.
 
Shreveport 2 @ Amarillo 3 (SO) - Logan Jenuwine had the game deciding goal in the shootout as the Amarillo Bulls finished their sweep of the Shreveport Mudbugs. Brendan West and Gabrel Seger scored for Amarillo during regulation. Justin Evenson denied 30 shots for Amarillo to earn the victory. Anton Rubtsov and Joel Frazee scored for Shreveport, Leo Chuard stopped 46 shots.
 
New Jersey 7 @ Northeast 2 - Michael Outzen, Gavin Gulash, and Zach Nazzarett all had two goals and an assist as the New Jersey Titans dominated the Northeast Generals 7-2. Thomas Lacombe was the other goal scorer for New Jersey in the win. Matt Ladd got the victory in goal as he made 31 saves. Matthew Rutigliano had a goal and an assist for the Generals while Kyle Gierman recorded his first NAHL goal. David Fessenden made 33 saves in the loss.
 
Jamestown 1 @ Maryland 2 (OT) - Luke Posner’s game winning goal in overtime lifted the Maryland Black Bears to a 2-1 win over the Jamestown Rebels. Daylon Mannon had the only goal for the Black Bears in the first 60 minutes. Matteo Menotti had two assists for Maryland. David Tomeo picked up the win in net for Maryland. Colin Schmidt was the only goal scorer for Jamestown while Noah West made 24 saves.
 
Lone Star 2 @ Topeka 0 - Seth Eisele stopped all 21 shots thrown his way to earn his first shutout in the NAHL. Kimball Johnson had the game winning goal for Lone Star and Gabe Potyk provided the empty net tally. Sam Metcalf was almost perfect but got the loss despite allowing just one goal on 23 shots against.

Janesville 0 @ Chippewa 6 - The Chippewa snapped their long losing streak with a statement victory over the Janesville Jets. Grant Reichenbacher registered a hat trick for the home club. Killian Kiecker-Olson had two goals and an assist for the Steel while Tomas Vochozka had a goal and an assist for Chippewa. Josh Langford was perfect on the evening as he stopped 34 shots on goal. Cole Brady made 29 saves for Janesville in the loss. 
 
MN Wilderness 4 @ Bismarck 2 - Isaac Kobienia’s goal and two assists led the Minnesota Wilderness to a series split with the Bismarck Bobcats. Ondrej Trejbal and Aaron Myers each notched a goal and an assist for the Wilderness while Dylan Johnson scored as well for Minnesota. Ryan Fanti was superb in his start as he denied 34 shots. Bartek Bison and Jacob Marti each scored and had an assist for the Bobcats. John Roberts made 25 saves in a losing effort. 
 
Austin 4 @ Minot 0 - Kyle McClellan picked up right where his October ended as he shutout the Minot Minotauros on Saturday night to improve to 7-1-1 on the season and lowered his goals against average to 1.53. Jed Pietila, Andrew Willis, Connor Mylymok and Adam Szubert all scored for the Bruins as they managed a series split in Minot. Ben Garrity made 23 saves for the Minotauros. 
 
MN Magicians 1 @ Fairbanks 5 - Parker Brown, John Stampohar and Jonathan Sorenson each had three points as the Fairbanks Ice Dogs split their series with the Minnesota Magicians. Tanner Edwards and Luke Mobley both found the back of the net as well for Fairbanks. Nate Reid had an easy night as he only needed 13 saves to take home the win. Ethan Haider and Jack Robbel combined for 20 saves. 
 
Springfield 6 @ Kenai River 1 - After being held quiet on Friday night, the Springfield office exploded for six goals on Saturday. Brandon Puricelli, Ben Schmidling, Caden Villegas, Nick Techel, Max Branin and cade Groton all scored for Springfield in the victory. Jack Williams was excellent in between the pipes as he made 36 saves to earn the victory. Connor Scahill had the lone goal for the Brown Bears and Gavin Enright stopped 41 shots in between the pipes for Kenai River.
