Magicians forward Skarda makes NCAA commitment

The Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Brendan Skarda has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Tufts University.
 
Skarda, 19, just completed his second season playing in the NAHL for the Magicians. The 5’10/180 lbs. native of Minnetonka, Minnesota, played in all 60 regular season games during the 2017-18 season and recorded 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists), which ranked 4th in team scoring.
 
Skarda was also selected to and played in the 2018 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division team, where he recorded two goals at the event.
 
Overall in his two-year NAHL career, Skarda has recorded 64 points in 118 career games.
 
Prior to playing in the NAHL, he played three years of varsity hockey for Minnetonka High School in Minnesota, where he served as team captain his senior year and recorded 36 points in 25 games played.
 
In total, 10 players from the 2017-18 Magicians roster have made NCAA commitments to date.
