Friday Finals: Ice Dogs streak hits 24 with win in Shreveport

Thanks to 30 saves, Springfield Jr. Blues goalie Evan Fear posted his first shutout of the season on Friday in a 1-0 OT win over Janesville.

Philadelphia 2 @ New Jersey 1 (OT) - Adam Peck needed just 22 seconds of overtime to bury the game winner and give the Philadelphia Rebels a 2-1 overtime victory over New Jersey. Aaron Maguyon also scored for the Rebels while Eli Billing made 28 saves in the win.Tyler Antonucci scored the only goal for the Titans while Brandon Perrone made 29 saves.

MN Magicians 4 @ Coulee Region 5 (OT) - Andrew McGlynn’s second goal of the game was the game winner as the Coulee Region Chill beat the Minnesota Magicians 5-4. Marshal Plunkett had three assists on the night while Colin Price had a goal and an assist. Gavin Holland and Jackson Decker each lit the lamp as well for Coulee Region.  Emil Zetterquist made 31 saves to pick up the win in goal. Matthew Stanton, Bram Scheerer, Charlie Weiand and David Kiskendall all scored for the Magicians

Austin 0 @ Aberdeen 3 - The Aberdeen Wings made their division lead feel a bit more secure as they shutout the Austin Bruins 3-0. Gabe Vinal was sensational as he made 20 saves for his first shutout of the year. Nic Sicoly had a goal and an assist. Jonathan Bendorf and Andrew Walker each found the back of the net for the Wings. Alex Schilling didn't get any help on the offensive end and wound up with the loss despite making 19 saves.

Janesville 0 @ Springfield 1 (OT) - Jordan Muzzillo was the hero as scored his sixth goal of the season at the 3:38 mark of overtime. The two net minders were terrific as Evan Fear was able to outlast Daniel Lebedeff in a back and forth affair. Fear stopped all 30 shots that came his direction. Lebedeff was able to stop 40 shots in the loss.

Minot 6 @ Brookings 3 - It was a complete team effort for the Minot Minotauros as they got goals from six different goals scorers as they doubled up Brookings 6-3. Grant Loven, Keenan Lund, Ondrej Pavel, Michael Talbot, Rykr Cole and Fritz Belisle all found the back of the net for the Minotauros. Jack Robbel made 20 saves to earn the victory. Connor Koviak netted a pair of goals in the loss, while Ryan Dickinson also scored for the Blizzard

Odessa 5 @ Corpus Christi 3 - Petr Miko’s three points led all skaters as the Jackalopes topped the IceRays 5-3. Zac Herrmann and Jared Christy each had a goal and an assist as well. Matt Brown and Ricky Carballo also scored for the Jackalopes. Alex Camarre earned the win in goal for Odessa, he made 28 saves. Jake Acton stopped 32 of 37 for the IceRays. Garrett Hallford, Brendan Miller and Julian Makary netted goals for Corpus Christi.

Bismarck 0 @ MN Wilderness 4 - C.J. Regula lit the lamp twice and added an assist as his Minnesota Wilderness blanked the Bismarck Bobcats 4-2. Gino Lucia had a goal and an assist,Edward Lindelow also scored in the win. Jacob Sibell was a perfect 21 for 21 for the Wilderness as he picked up his first shutout of the year.

Amarillo 2 @ Topeka 3 (OT) - Matt Barnes was the overtime hero as the RoadRunners grabbed a 3-2 overtime win over the Amarillo Bulls. Dallas Tulik scored a goal and added an assist while Chad Hillebrand scored as well. Sam Metcalf was great as he made 32 saves on 34 shots. Brendon Michaelian and Trey Bagwell scored for Amarillo. Jason Grande made 20 saves.

Fairbanks 3 @ Shreveport 2 - The longest winning streak lives on as the Fairbanks Ice Dogs beat the Shreveport Mudbugs 3-2. The Ice Dogs won their 24th straight game as Samuel Ruffin had a goal and an assist, Kyle Mayher and Jake Borgida also lit the lamp. Josh Benson got his 24th win in between the pipes, he stopped 22 shots. Derek Contessa had a goal and an assist while Jay Feiwell also scored. Jaxon Castor made 12 saves in the loss.

Kenai River 1 @ Lone Star 3 - Ture Linden scored twice and Harrison Feeney made 19 saves to lead the Lone Star Brahmas past the Kenai River Brown Bears 3-1. Justin Addamo also brought the home crowd to its feet. Filip Karlsson scored the lone goal for the Brown Bears in the loss. Gavin Enright made 21 saves in between the pipes.
