North American League (NAHL) graduate Brandon Saad is listed No. 8 among North American skaters on the NHL Central Scouting Bureau's midterm rankings of 2011 draft-eligibles which were released on Monday.

Saad, a forward from Gibsonia, Pa., was named NAHL Rookie of the Year and to the All-NAHL Team after scoring 29 goals for 47 points in 47 regular-season games with the Mahoning Valley Phantoms during the 2008-09 season.

Matt Nieto, a Long Beach, Calif., native who played in the NAHL as a member of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program in 2008-09, is ranked No. 55 among North American skaters. He totaled 35 points on 11 goals in 38 NAHL regular-season games.

NHL Central Scouting will release its final rankings in April prior to the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, which will be held at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on June 24-25.

Sixteen former NAHL players were selected in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
