Knights roll to win over Generals on Sunday

Northeast 3 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 7 – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights completed a perfect 3-0 weekend as they defeated the Northeast Generals on Sunday by a score of 7-3. The Knights poured on 53 shots on goal and defenseman Markuss Komuls had five points and was +6 in the win.
The game was tied at 1-1 after the 1st period as Dorian Dawson scored for the Knights and Colin Bilek answered for the Generals.
The Generals took a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd period thanks to a goal from Hunter Canestra, but the Knights would score three straight goals later in the period to make it 4-2 as Komuls, Michael Morrissey and Curtis Carlson all lit the lamp.
The Generals cut into the lead early in the 3rd period as Kohei Sato scored to make it 4-3, but it was all Knights late in the game as Reed Robinson scored to make it 5-3 and Dawson and Komuls each scored their second goals of the game to make the final score, 7-3.
Knights goalie Grant Valentine capped off a great week by making 29 saves in the win. David Tomeo took the loss with 46 saves.
