January 14, 2016
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights of the North American Hockey League are very proud to announce that forward Zed Dietrich has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at the Milwaukee School of Engineering for the 2016-2017 season.
Zed joined the WBS Knights organization in September and is a native Waukesha, Wisconsin. In 30 games this season in the NAHL, the 19-year-old has five assists.
“Zed has been a pleasure to coach and work with. He is another example of a player who has worked very hard in our program, developed and moved on to the next level of hockey. He is an outstanding person and teammate and we are all very proud and excited for him. The Milwaukee School of Engineering is getting a very dedicated hockey player and a remarkable student,” noted head coach Tom Kowal.
“I am proud to announce my commitment to the Milwaukee School of Engineering for fall 2016-2017. At MSOE, I will be playing hockey and studying actuarial sciences. I would like to thank the Wilkes Barre-Scranton Knights organization for helping me reach my goal of playing college hockey. MSOE is the perfect fit for me. I began having interest in MSOE as a kid watching hockey games and then gained an academic interest during high school. MSOE is a top class university, has a successful hockey program, and allows me to be close to my family.”
The Knight’s family wishes Zed all the best in the future and he will always be part of the rich Knights Alumni tradition.
