South, North skate to Top Prospects wins

The South Division (1-2) and the North Division (3-0) skated to wins on the third and final day of the Sherwood/NAHL Top Prospects Tournament on Wednesday at the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Mich.

In the early game, Craig Kitto (St. Louis Bandits) struck for a pair of goals and Erik Higby (Topeka RoadRunners) tallied a goal and an assist as the South Division downed the West (0-3), 4-1.  Goaltenders Dan Sullivan (Texas Tornado) and Evan Karambelas (Topeka RoadRunners) combined to stop 38 shots.

(Janesville Jets) and Brent Bain (Marquette Rangers) each connected for two goals in the North Division’s 5-2 victory over the Central (2-1).  Ross Mauermann (Janesville Jets) added a goal and two assists, and goaltenders Kevin Kissaw (Marquette Rangers) and Matt Wichorek (Janesville Jets) combined to make 22 saves.
