Jets' Sadjadi named Sherbrook Goalie of the Month
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced that Janesville Jets goaltender Geoff Sadjadi has been named the Sherbrook Hockey Goaltender of the Month for December.
Sadjadi, a 20-year-old from Faribault, Minn., fashioned a perfect 4-0 record over the month to compliment a 2.20 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage. In one of those four victories - a 2-1 decision over the Motor City Metal Jackets on Dec. 5 - Sadjadi stopped all five shots in the shootout.
“Geoff had a great December and has played a big role in our recent success,” said Jets head coach Dane Litke. “He works hard and is a very dedicated athlete. He’s also very competitive and we hope his strong play continues for the rest of the season.”
Sadjadi, who started the season with the Alaska Avalanche, holds a 10-4 record in 14 NAHL appearances this season to go along with a 2.77 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage.
