Rangers' Kero headed to Michigan Tech

The Marquette Rangers have announced that forward Tanner Kero has committed to Michigan Tech University (WCHA) for next season.
Kero, a Hancock, Mich., native, has a team-leading 12 goals for 17 points through 22 games this year.
“Tanner is a very skilled player who deserves the chance to play at the Division I level,” Rangers head coach Kenny Miller said. “He works hard everyday and he’s been rightly rewarded for that effort.”
Kero, 17, joins teammate Garrett Ladd (Bemidji State University) as players from this year’s Rangers squad to make commitments to play Division I hockey.
“Not only is Michigan Tech getting a high-end player, but they’re also getting a great student and an even better young man,” Miller added. “We’re all very happy for him and his family.”
