NAHL Announces Staff Organizational Hires and Restructuring

North American Hockey League (NAHL) Commissioner Mark Frankenfeld announced today a series of League staffing hires and restructuring moves.

"We are very excited about the restructuring at the NAHL, said Frankenfeld. "The team that we have assembled will continue to provide stability to our growing hockey organization.

All of the following employees will begin their duties immediately: 

Denny Scanlon, Director of Hockey Operations -- As Director of Hockey Operations, Scanlon will oversee NAHL compliance to all League and USA junior rules and regulations, all transactions foreign and domestic, player registration, and league discipline. Additionally, the University of Miami – Ohio graduate will serve as director of the NAHL Future Prospects Tournaments, and the North American Prospects Hockey League. Scanlon, 31, has vast experience at all levels of hockey, including the National Hockey League (NHL), where he is an amateur scout for the New York Islanders. Prior to joining the Islanders, Scanlon spent five years as a member of the Minnesota Wild's Hockey Operations department from 2000-2005. He received his law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in 2006.

Glen Andresen, Director of Marketing and Communication -- Andresen has been named the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) Director of Marketing and Communication. Andresen oversees the day-to-day public and media relations efforts of the NAHL, including maintenance of the League's official website, He is also responsible for the preparation and distribution of all media releases. Andresen will oversee the marketing of all NAHL events including: the NAHL Showcase Tournament, Future Prospects Tournament and Top Prospects Tournament. The University of Minnesota, Duluth graduate will also handle all Marketing and Communications duties with respect to the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL).

Fraser Ritchie, Member Services, Operations and Communication -- Ritchie takes on the role of Member Services, Operations and Communication, and will manage League logistics, operations and daily support for member organizations and League operations and communications. He will oversee the tracking and accuracy of all statistics and standings for the NAHL and the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) as the Pointstreak Administrator. Additionally, Ritchie will serve as Assistant Director to the NAPHL.

Lynn Cramp, Member Services, Finances and Administration -- Cramp begins her third year with the North American Hockey League (NAHL), and her first as Member Services, Finances and Administration. Cramp spent the previous two years as Director of Administration. In her role, the Durham College graduate will oversee all financial aspects of the NAHL, as well as assisting with the coordination of all NAHL and NAPHL tournaments.

Additionally, Scott Brand will remain the League's Director of Officiating, in charge of recruitment, supervision, development and placement of officials.
