Warriors and Wilderness win on Wednesday

Thomas Lindstrom had the game-winning goal as the Minnesota Wilderness beat the Minnesota Magicians, 4-3 on Wednesday.

Michigan Warriors 4 @ Port Huron Fighting Falcons 1 – TJ Stuntz scored twice to lead the Michigan Warriors to a big 4-1 win in Port Huron against the 1st place Fighting Falcons on Wednesday night. The Warriors, who had 30 shots, limited Port Huron to just 21 shots. Colin Horton started the scoring in the 1st period and then the lead swelled to 3-0 in the 2nd period on power play goals from Colin Larkin and Stuntz. Vito Aluia added the lone Port Huron goal late in the middle frame. Stuntz’s second goal came with just 1:11 remaining on an empty-net. Trevor Gorsuch made 20 saves in the win and Alex Blankenburg made 26 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Minnesota Wilderness 4 @ Minnesota Magicians 3 - Thomas Lindstrom scored the go-ahead goal at 8:15 in the third period, and the Minnesota Wilderness held on to defeat the Minnesota Magicians 4-3 on Wednesday in Richfield, Minn.The Wilderness also got goals from Eric Brenk, Dominik Tiffels and Dan Litchke, while Jakob Romo had two assists. Goalie Frank Oplinger made 23 saves for the Wilderness (21-11-6). Tony Uglem, Matt Colford and Sam Becker each scored a goal and Atte Tolvanen stopped 32 shots for the Magicians (14-22-6).
