Maine forward Panico makes NCAA DIII Commitment
The Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Ryan Panico has committed to playing NCAA Division III hockey for Trinity College.
Panico, 20, is playing in his second season in the NAHL and first with the Nordiques. His NAHL journey began with the Johnstown Tomahawks in the 2022-2023 season after signing a tender agreement out of the NAPHL with the Maine Nordiques Academy in the spring of 2022. The Fairfield, Connecticut native made an immediate impact in his rookie season, tallying 7 goals and 18 points in 49 regular season games.
Panico began this season with the Tomahawks, playing 11 games for the club before joining the Nordiques for the remainder of the season. So far in 36 games, Ryan has amassed 3 goals and 23 assists for the team sitting 2nd place in the East Division.
Panico joins the growing list of Nordiques committed to playing college hockey next fall, becoming the 13th player to make a commitment to an NCAA program. He will join New Hampshire’s Michael Sullo at Trinity College next fall.
