Express' Kruse decides on Air Force

February 17, 2009

The Owatonna Express has announced that forward John Kruse has committed the Air Force Academy (Atlantic Hockey) for next season.

Sidelined for much of the season with a wrist injury, the 19-year-old from Eden Prairie, Minn., has six goals for 22 points in 22 games this season.  He is also a plus-12.

“We’re very excited for John and feel that he’ll get a great education and will have an outstanding hockey experience at Air Force,” said Express head coach Pat Cullen.

At Air Force, Kruse will join teammate Steve Carew, who committed to the Colorado Springs, Colo., school earlier this season.

“(Falcons) Coach (Frank) Serratore and his staff are now getting two very good players and even better people,” Cullen added.
