Big 3rd period lifts 1st place Falcons over Warriors
Michigan 2 @ Port Huron 5 - The 1st place Fighting Falcons increased their North Division lead to 12 points with a 5-2 home win over Michigan on Tuesday. It took four, 3rd period goals, but the Falcons dominated play, outshooting the Warriors, 38-10. It was only a matter of time beforeLogan Lemirande and the Fighting Falcons broke through against Warriors goaltender Brach Tiller. Lemirande had two goals on the night and Mike Moroso had the game-winning goal and an assist. Lemirande scored early into the 2nd period to tie the game at 1-1 after an opening goal from the Warriors Michael Economos. Lemirande scored again early in the 3rd period giving the Falcons the first of four straight goals to close out the game, and extend their win streak to six games. Kody Polin and Ian Miller (assist) also scored, while Ryan Murray, Nico Sierra, Nolan Valleau, Alex Archibald, Sean Gammage, Maxwell Reavis, Alex Globke and Moroso each had an assist. Michael Economos and Matus Matis each scored for the Warriors, who led 1-0 and 2-1 in the game. Fighting Falcons goaltender Max Milosek only had to make eight saves. Boxscore
