Thursday Thriller: Idaho Falls Kick Off Three-Game Series with Tight 2-1 Victory

Pueblo 1 @ Idaho Falls 2 - The Spud Kings skated to a tight home opener victory thanks to a two-goal performance by Tyler Atchison. Atchison lit the lamp less than four minutes in. That one-goal advantage would be carried into the second period. In the middle frame, Atchison added to the Spud Kings' lead with his second tally of the night, thanks to a feed by Bravery Esplin. As the contest moved into the final frame, the Peppers would cut the deficit with a goal by Drew Albrecht five minutes into the period. However, that third-period push wasn't enough, and the Spud Kings secured the win at home. Between the pipes for the Spud Kings, Dylan McFadyen turned aside 18 out of 19 shots, securing the win in the blue paint.
