Mike Aikens brings experience coaching and scouting at the Division I level. He talks more about the type of athlete that is recruited from the NAHL and how the nightly competition prepares the athletes for the next stage of hockey.
“We've said it all the time, this is a man's league. This is a league where you know what you recruit is what you're going to get. And I think that the competition we face every night, the physicality, the speed, the adversity that guys have to go through at this level, it only makes them better and they're college ready.”
As Aikens enters his third year behind the bench for the Anchorage Wolverines, he shares more about his excitement for the year ahead and how he is ready to help lift his team to a Robertson Cup appearance.
