Minnesota Mallards Goaltender Kimbrel Makes NCAA Commitment

Before joining the Mallards, Kimbrel played for the Oklahoma Warriors

The Minnesota Mallards of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Adam Kimbrel has committed to play NCAA hockey for Hamline University in the MIAC.

The 6-foot-2 netminder from Victoria, Minnesota, Kimbrel joins the Pipers in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in the fall. The ‘06 goaltender just wrapped up his first season of junior hockey. He started the 2025-26 season with the Oklahoma Warriors, playing seven games in net for the South Division team. He made 154 out of 183 saves over the course of seven games for the Warriors.

Following his time with Oklahoma, he was acquired by the Minnesota Mallards, where he would play 23 games in net for the Central Division club. He turned aside 482 out of 562 shots on net, notching a .858 save percentage.

Kimbrel is one of 14 members of the Minnesota Mallards to make a college ice hockey commitment.
