Northeast Captain Ipri makes NCAA Commitment

The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Vinny Ipri has committed to play NCAA hockey for Connecticut College in the NESCAC.

The ‘06 lefty from Fort Myers, Florida, Ipri will join the Camels at Connecticut College in the fall. Ipri is coming off an offensively strong veteran season with the Generals, leading defensemen on Northeast in every scoring category in the regular season. The 5-foot-9 blueliner tallied seven goals and logged 33 assists with the East Division club, sitting tied for fourth overall on his roster with 40 points. Ipri was effective on the man advantage, tallying three goals on the power play this past season. The Florida native continued with his play-making ways into the postseason, recording seven assists and a +10 rating in eight playoff games.

Thanks to his work on the ice, Ipri was named to the All-East Division Team, being recognized by fellow East Division coaches.

In the defenseman’s debut season in the League of Opportunity, Ipri played in 44 contests for the Massachusetts-based team. He scored eight goals and recorded 16 assists for the Generals. He notched 24 points in his rookie season in the NAHL. In addition, Ipri scored his first and only game-winning tally in his NAHL career during the 2024-25 season.

Ipri is one of 13 members of the Northeast Generals to make a college ice hockey commitment.
