Philadelphia Forward Sheridan makes NCAA Commitment

The Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Billy Sheridan has committed to play NCAA hockey for Neumann University in the MAC.

The 6-foot righty from Sewell, New Jersey, Sheridan will join the Knights in Ashton, Pennsylvania, in the fall. Sheridan is a third-year veteran of the Rebels, skating 158 games in the League of Opportunity. This past season, the ‘05 forward recorded 33 points in 46 games played. The 21-year-old tallied 10 goals and registered a team-leading 23 assists for the East Division team. The local Rebels skater was one of the top scorers on Philadelphia’s roster this past season, ranking second on the team with 33 points.

In Sheridan’s 2024-25 campaign, the ‘05 skater did not miss a game; he laced up in every regular season contest. The New Jersey native scored 12 goals and notched 31 assists for the Rebels. Sheridan registered 43 points and ranked in the top five of Philadelphia skaters in all offensive categories. The 6-foot forward scored his first and only game-winning goal in his NAHL career during his second season.

In the ‘05 skater’s debut season, Sheridan played in 53 games for the Rebels, registering 24 points. In his rookie season, he tallied eight goals and 16 assists for the East Division team.

In Sheridan’s NAHL career, the 6-foot righty produced 100 points in 158 games played. The veteran skater scored 30 goals and produced 70 assists for the East Division team.

Sheridan is one of 10 members of the Philadelphia Rebels to make a college ice hockey commitment.
