Elmira Forward Tsoukalas Makes NCAA Commitment

The Elmira Aviators of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Tyler Tsoukalas has committed to play NCAA hockey for Fitchburg State University in the MASCAC.

The 6-foot-3 righty from Billerica, Massachusetts, Tsoukalas will play in his home state with the Falcons this upcoming fall. Tsoukalas wrapped up his first season playing in the League of Opportunity. The ‘06 forward started his 2025-26 campaign with the Amarillo Wranglers in the South Division. He skated in 25 games with the Texas-based team, recording five points with the club. The 20-year-old tallied three goals and two assists over that span. He would then be acquired by the Elmira Aviators in the East Division, where he would skate with the team in 13 contests. Tsoukalas recorded a goal during his time with the New York-based team.

Before playing in the NAHL, he spent a season in the NA3HL with the New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings. He laced up in 20 regular season games, recording 17 points with the East Division team. He lit the lamp on seven occasions and notched 10 assists with the team. Tsoukalas also made a postseason appearance with the team, hitting the ice in two contests.

Tsoukalas is one of 11 members of the Elmira Aviators to make an NCAA ice hockey commitment.
