Odessa Alternate Captain Jacobs makes NCAA Commitment
The Odessa Jackalopes of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Jeremy Jacobs has committed to play NCAA hockey for Bowdoin College in the NESCAC.
Hailing from the Keystone State and serving as a keystone piece of the Jackalopes offense, Jacobs will join the Polar Bears at Bowdoin College this fall. Jacobs is a second-year veteran of the South Division club, skating in every regular season contest across both seasons. In the 5-foot-11 skater’s age-out season, Jacobs scored 16 goals and logged a team-leading 45 assists. In addition, his 61 points on the year rank him tied for first on the Jackalopes.
Jacobs was effective on the man advantage for the Texas-based roster, scoring 21 of his points on the man advantage during his 2025-26 campaign. The Pennsylvania native was critical at important moments of the game because six of his tallies were scored in game-winning fashion for the club.
Thanks to his work on the ice, the alternate captain was named as a Top Prospect for the annual Top Prospects Tournament. He laced up for the South Division roster and helped to lift his divisional team to two victories during the annual event.
The ‘05 skater played his first full year of junior hockey in the 2024-25 season. The West Chester, Pennsylvania, native scored 15 goals and produced 24 assists for Odessa. His 39 points on the year have him ranked in the top five of scorers on the team during that season. In addition to his scoring, Jacobs featured a team-leading +15 rating on the ice.
Before skating full-time with the Jackalopes, Jacobs made a five-game appearance with the South Division club, getting a taste of the League of Opportunity. In that stint, Jacobs scored his first NAHL goal.
The ‘05 forward is an alumnus of the T1ER, skating across two seasons with the Philadelphia Little Flyers. In his 2023-24 campaign, Jacobs tallied 21 points over 16 games and earned a tender with the Odessa Jackalopes following his 18U season.
Jacobs is one of seven members of the Odessa Jackalopes to make a college ice hockey commitment.
