The Rochester Jr. Americans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Yianni Koukouves has committed to play NCAA hockey for Neumann University in the MAC.

The 6-foot right-handed forward from Markham, Ontario, Koukouves will join the Knights in Pennsylvania this fall. Koukouves is a first-year skater in the League of Opportunity, playing this past season in the East Division. The 21-year-old started his NAHL debut year with the Elmira Aviators, skating in 29 games for the New York-based team. He recorded nearly a point per game, scoring 10 goals while producing 14 assists for the East Division club. The ‘05 forward would go on to be acquired by the Jr. Americans near the trade deadline in early February. He would skate in 28 contests across the regular season and postseason for Rochester. He scored a goal while recording nine assists in that span for the Jr. Americans’ push for the postseason.

Koukouves is one of 16 members of the Rochester Jr. Americans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
