Maine Defenseman Farro makes NCAA Commitment

The Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Aiden Farro has committed to play NCAA hockey for Johnson & Wales University in the CNE.

The 21-year-old blueliner, Farro, will join the Wildcats in Rhode Island in the fall. Farro is a veteran of the NAHL, skating 173 games in the League of Opportunity. This past season, the ‘05 lefty laced up in 57 games for the Nordiques, recording 12 points. He tallied three goals and registered nine assists for the East Division team. In that span, he spotlighted a +5 rating on the ice.

The 6-foot-2 defenseman spent most of his time in the 2024-25 season with the Nordiques, skating in 46 games. He scored a goal and recorded eight assists from the blue line for Maine. Prior to joining the Nordiques, he played in three games with the Minnesota Wilderness at the start of the season.

In Farro’s first full season of NAHL, he laced up in 50 contests for the Danbury Hat Tricks. He scored two goals and produced 10 assists for the Connecticut-based team. In that span, he recorded his first and only power-play goal in his NAHL career.

In his 2022-23 campaign, the ‘05 defenseman played 17 games for Danbury, registering two assists in his debut year in the League of Opportunity.

In Farro’s NAHL career, the 6-foot-2 skater recorded 35 points in 173 games played.

Farro is one of six members of the Maine Nordiques to make an NCAA hockey college commitment.
