New Hampshire Forward Roenick makes NCAA Commitment

The New Hampshire Mountain Kings of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Cole Roenick has committed to play NCAA hockey for Suffolk University in the CNE.

The New Hampshire native, Roenick, will join the Rams in Boston, Massachusetts, in the fall. The 6-foot-2 righty has played 119 career games with the Mountain Kings. This past season, the ‘05 skater laced up in 53 contests. Roenick found twine nine times and notched eight assists during the regular season. The Exeter, New Hampshire native registered 17 points in his age-out season. Two of his tallies were scored on the man advantage, while three goals were scored shorthanded.

In his first full season in the League of Opportunity, Roenick laced up in 60 games for the Mountain Kings during his 2024-25 campaign. The forward scored nine goals and made nine assists for New Hampshire. Two of his tallies were scored in game-winning fashion for the East Division team. He was drafted by the Mountain Kings in the fifth round during the 2024 NAHL Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-2 skater got his first taste of the NAHL with a six-game stint with the Mountain Kings in the 2023-24 season. He notched his first NAHL point with an assist during his rookie season.

Roenick is one of 11 members of the New Hampshire Mountain Kings to make a college ice hockey commitment.
