New Hampshire Defenseman Malawski makes NCAA Commitment

April 14, 2026

The New Hampshire Mountain Kings of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Thomas Malawski has committed to play NCAA hockey for Middlebury College in the NESCAC.

The 5-foot-11 righty from Saint-Lazare, Quebec, will head to Vermont to skate with the Panthers in the fall. Malawski just wrapped up his first season in the League of Opportunity. The ‘05 blueliner played in 51 games for the Mountain Kings, scoring one goal from the blue line while making eight assists. His lone goal of the year was named the game-winner. Malawski got his first taste of the NAHL last season, when he played in a three-game stint with the Mountain Kings.

Middlebury College has won eight national championships and made 14 postseason appearances as a program.

Malawski is one of six members of the New Hampshire Mountain Kings to make a college ice hockey commitment.
