The Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Dub Eunice III has committed to playing NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Alaska-Anchorage.
“I am honored to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey at the University of Alaska - Anchorage, representing my hometown team. Thank you to my family, teammates, coaches, agents, and friends who’ve walked this journey with me,” said Eunice III.
Eunice III, an Eagle River, Alaska native, returned to his home state to play for the Ice Dogs this season and is in his first season playing junior hockey. Throughout his 33 games played so far, Dub has logged 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists). He wasted no time getting acclimated to the NAHL, tallying five points in his first five games. Eunice III’s best performance came on the 3rd of October against the Wisconsin Windigo, lighting the lamp and dishing an assist in a 5-2 victory on the road.
“Dub’s commitment to the University of Alaska-Anchorage is both exciting and well earned,” said Ice Dogs head coach Dakota Bell. “Growing up in Alaska, I know Dub has wanted to play hockey in his home state. With this commitment, he will continue to play his junior hockey in Fairbanks and college hockey right in his hometown of Anchorage.”
Bell went on to commend Eunice III’s dedication and maturity on and off the ice.
“Dub is the definition of a team-first player. He is the first guy to the rink in the morning and the last one to leave. He has formed strong connections with each and every one of his teammates as he is trustworthy. Even as an ‘08 birth year, Dub is a strong voice inside our locker room. On the ice, Dub has been an accountable 200-foot player, showing maturity beyond his years. He helps to lead our penalty kill and can play in each and every situation. We are thrilled that Dub will be playing his college hockey for the Seawolves and are excited for all that he will accomplish with the Ice Dogs in the years leading up to it!”
Eunice III joins a growing group of players from the 2025-26 Ice Dogs roster committed to playing NCAA Division I hockey, bringing Fairbanks’ total to five players.
