Monday Matchup: Lone Star Wins it on Overtime

Oklahoma 2 @ Lone Star 3 (OT) - The Lone Star Brahmas edged the Oklahoma Warriors 3-2 in overtime at NYTEX Sports Centre, outshooting Oklahoma 52-18 in the win. Tyson Scanlon opened the scoring for Lone Star in the first period before Oklahoma answered with two goals late in the second from Dominik Kiss and Jakub Galnor to take a 2-1 lead. Christian Venticinque tied the game on a power-play goal midway through the third period to force overtime. Samuel Lussier ended it just 57 seconds into OT, finishing the game-winner for the Brahmas. Despite the loss, Oklahoma goaltender Billy Stuski was named the game’s first star after stopping 49 shots.
