December 28, 2025

The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Mitchell McCusker has committed to play NCAA hockey for Williams College in the NESCAC.

The 6-foot-2 netminder from Alpharetta, Georgia, will head to Williamstown, Massachusetts to play in the blue paint with the Ephs next fall. McCusker is a second-year veteran of the Brown Bears. Between his two seasons with Kenai River, he has laced up between the pipes for 41 games. He sports a 3.76 and a .886 save percentage.

Head coach of the Brown Bears, Darren Banks, shares his excitement for McCusker

”We are excited for Mitch to get his commitment to Williams College. He is a hard worker and very good student. We look forward to his continued success at the collegiate level.”

McCusker is one of two members of the Kenai River Brown Bears to make a college ice hockey commitment.
