Anchorage Forward Bydal makes NCAA DI Commitment

The Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Luc Bydal has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Long Island University.
A skater that is offensively lethal on the ice is the one and only Luc Bydal from Grand Forks, North Dakota. The 6-foot-2 skater has been lighting up the scoresheet this season for the Wolverines. Bydal is coming off being named as November’s Forward of the Month. The 20-year-old spotlights a league-leading 21 total points in November, tallying nine goals and 11 assists. For the season, the ‘05 forward features 21 goals, 17 assists, and 38 total points. He leads the league with his 21 goals on the year and sits tied in third with his 38 total points. His offensive output has been crucial for the Wolverines, tallying three game-winning goals this season. There have been only four games this season in which Bydal has not shown up on the scoresheet. He currently rides an eight-game multi-point streak. His offensive prowess has featured two four-point games this season for Anchorage. Bydal also has a special situation in Anchorage because he plays alongside his little brother, Rylan Bydal. Nine of his 21 total goals this season come with helpers from his little brother.
Bydal is in his second season skating in the League of Opportunity. Last season, he spent time playing for the Colorado Grit and Minot Minotauros. He scored a combined nine goals and had 12 assists over 28 games played. For his career, he has played a total of 52 games in the NAHL, tallying 30 goals and 29 assists over his two seasons.

Bydal is one of eight members of the Anchorage Wolverines to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
