The Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Jaden Sikura has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Army-West Point in the Atlantic.

The 5’11 righty hailing from the Bluegrass State will lace up for the Black Knights with Army. The ‘06 forward is in his second season playing in the League of Opportunity. This year, he has hit the ice for the Black Bears in 16 games, tallying a team-leading eight goals while making 10 assists. One of his goals was the decider in a contest, while two goals were scored on the man advantage. Prior to joining the Black Bears, he played with the Northeast Generals last season. Sikura dished six goals and notched 21 assists in his 40 games played with the Generals. The Kentucky native was named as a Top Prospect for the East Division roster at the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament. He produced an assist for the East Division team.

Sikura shares his excitement to commit to the program on social media.

“I am incredibly proud and honored to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey and continue my education at the United States Military Academy at West Point. A huge thank you to God, my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has helped me along the way.”

Head coach of the Black Bears, Clint Mylymok, explains more about Sikura’s character.

“Jaden has been an impact player since day one, but more importantly, has really adapted well with his new teammates. He is a fierce competitor, and his teammates love him. We are excited for Jaden and look forward to being a part of his continual development in Maryland. Congrats to Sikky and his family!”

Sikura is one of five members of the Maryland Black Bears to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
