Philadelphia Forward Wilson makes NCAA DI Commitment
The Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Cameron Wilson has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Lindenwood University.
The High Ridge, Missouri, native makes a commitment close to home; the 17-year-old will skate with the Lions at Lindenwood University. The 5’11 righty has hit the ice in a total of 13 games for the Rebels, finding the back of the net twice. The ‘08 forward is one of the youngest skaters in the league and is in his first full season of junior hockey. Wilson shared his excitement about his commitment on social media.
“I am blessed and honored to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey and pursue my academic career at Lindenwood University. I would like to thank my friends, family, teammates, coaches, and advisor for helping me along this journey.”
Head coach of the Rebels, Justin Hale, explains more about Wilson’s work ethic and dedication to development.
“This is very exciting for Cam, fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing Division I college hockey. As an ‘08, he has been a mainstay in our lineup and someone who has shown the ability to make plays with the puck and compete without it. He does this all while being coachable and a great teammate. I look forward to continuing to work with him this season.”
Wilson is one of four members of the Philadelphia Rebels to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
