John Mitchell dives into detail on why players from the NAHL are ready for the college level after playing in the league.
“They're battle-tested. You know it's a hard, heavy league. There's a discrepancy in the age range. You have heavy, strong, agile 20-year-olds playing against 16-17-year-olds. So it really gets them battle-tested. With the bus rides and playing 59-game seasons, colleges look for that. They look for those athletes that are battle tested so that when they're in the playoffs or in the national tournament, they have guys that they can rely on and be in the heat of the moment.”
After coming off a monumental season for the Windigo, making it to the Robertson Cup for the first time as an organization, John Mitchell will continue to lead the charge for the Wisconsin team. He shares more on the goals of the team and what the summer has looked like for the organization.
