Johnstown Captain Shane makes NCAA Commitment

The Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that Captain Dylan Shane has committed to play NCAA hockey for Skidmore College in the SUNYAC.
Hailing from the Keystone state, Shane will head to skate with the Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs, New York. The 5’11 blueliner served as the Captain of the Tomahawks this past season. Shane hit the ice in 63 games, tallying six goals and a team-leading 34 assists. He ranks first amongst defensemen for his 40 points on the year and featured a +28 rating on the year. The ‘04 skater played in 62 games for the Tomahawks in his 2023-24 campaign. Shane found the back of the net four times and notched 24 assists for Johnstown.
His first full season in the NAHL spotlighted Shane hitting the ice in 60 games for the Tomahawks. The 5’11 lefty found the back of the net once and notched 17 assists for the team. The Pennsylvania native got his first taste of the NAHL during the 2021-22 season with a one-game call-up to the Tomahawks.
Shane is one of the 17 members of the Johnstown Tomahawks to make a college ice hockey commitment.
