NA Now: Amarillo Wranglers

The NA Now video series features an in-depth look into all NAHL teams as they prepare for the 2025-26 season. One team will be highlighted every day, leading up to the start of the regular season on September 12, 2025. Each interview features each team’s head coach, as they dive into detail on the expectations and outlooks for this upcoming season.

Amarillo Wranglers

Head Coach: Michael Hill (1st season)

2024-25 Regular Season Record: 24-29-2-4 – 54 points (8th in the South Division)

2024-25 Leading Scorer: Morley Phillips (13-22–35)

2025-26 Division: South Division

Location: Amarillo, Texas

Formation Year: 2021 (5th season)

“For us, we want to develop good human beings," said Head Coach of the Wranglers, Michael Hill. “We want them to not necessarily leave Amarillo in the fashion of just good hockey players, but we want them to be better people.”

Michael Hill will serve as the next bench boss of the Amarillo Wranglers for the 2025-26 season. As a former skater in the NAHL, he has seen and experienced what the League of Opportunity can do for young athletes. He shares more on what it means to be the next Head Coach for the South Division team and why the importance of giving back and building high character into the next generation of athletes are top of mind for him.
