The Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Michael Manzi has committed to play NCAA hockey for SUNY-Oswego in the SUNYAC.
The 6’1 netminder from Delaware is heading to the Empire State to play in the blue paint for the Lakers in the fall. Manzi is a second-year veteran of the NAHL. This past season, he split his time with the El Paso Rhinos and Anchorage Wolverines. In Anchorage, the 21-year-old hit the ice in 25 contests, spotlighting a 14-7-0-3 record. He featured a 2.56 goals against average and .920 save percentage while with the Wolverines. While Manzi was in El Paso this season, the netminder laced up in 19 games, producing a 1.91 goals against average and .932 save percentage. He produced 13 wins over 19 games played as a Rhino this past season and notched a shutout.
The second-year netminder was named as a Top Prospect on the undefeated Selects Black roster at the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament in Michigan.
Last season, the 21-year-old laced up for 28 games with the Rhinos. He registered a 2.14 goals against average, .915 save percentage, and won 18 of those contests while in the blue paint. He is also an example of the Ladder of Development that the NAHL promotes. Prior to skating in the NAHL, Manzi played in the NAPHL with the Philadelphia Little Flyers for three seasons.
Manzi will join fellow NAHL player, Raymond Perrault, from the Corpus Christi IceRays.
President of Wolverines, Isaiah Vreeman, shares his excitement for Manzi.
“We’re incredibly proud of Michael and excited for his opportunity at SUNY-Oswego. He’s a great talent with an incredible work ethic and even better character. We were fortunate to bring him in midseason, and he fit right in from day one—on the ice and in the locker room. His energy, skill, and personality made him an instant fan favorite here in Anchorage, and we can’t wait to see what he does at the next level.”
Manzi is one of 12 members of the Anchorage Wolverines to make a college hockey commitment.
