The El Paso Rhinos of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Seth Rakosky has committed to play NCAA hockey for Roger Williams University in the CNE.

The 21-year-old from Edmond, Oklahoma, is heading to skate with the Hawks in Bristol, Rhode Island this upcoming fall. Rakosky is a third-year NAHL veteran. This past season, he hit the ice in 33 contests with the Rhinos, tallying a goal and two assists. Before joining the El Paso roster, the 6’1 lefty hit the ice with the Danbury Hat Tricks over the past two years.

Head coach of the Rhinos, Mike Rivera, shares what he has seen from Rakosky this past year.

“We are excited for Seth. He came in midseason for us and played a pivotal role on our backend when we needed it the most. He’s a steady defensive defenseman that can log minutes five vs. five or on the penalty kill. Seth’s hockey IQ, skating, and work ethic will make him impactful at the NCAA level.”

Rakosky is one of eleven members of the El Paso Rhinos to make a college ice hockey commitment.
