New Hampshire Defenseman Kodsi makes NCAA Commitment

The New Hampshire Mountain Kings of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Rhett Kodsi has committed to play NCAA hockey for UMass Boston in the Little East.
The ‘04 blueliner from the Sunshine State will skate with the Beacons in the fall. Kodsi is a second-year skater in the NAHL. The 6’0 righty spent this past season with two teams. He ended his year with the New Hampshire Mountain Kings after being acquired by the Janesville Jets in early January. This season, he played in 50 games between the two teams. Kodsi notched two goals and 13 assists.
In his debut season in the NAHL, Kodsi skated in 60 games with the Janesville Jets. The 21-year-old found the back of the net four times while producing 15 assists. Two of his four goals were game-winning goals, and he finished the year with a +25 rating.
Kodsi will be joining Colby Lyons from the Oklahoma Warriors and Kyle Isenberg from the Lone Star Brahmas in the fall.
Assistant Coach of the Mountain Kings, Trevor Simonson, shares more on Kodsi’s development.
"Rhett was a welcoming addition to the second half of our season. He has excellent skating and an offensive flair to his game. He brought maturity and class to our program. He will find success at UMass Boston thanks to his polished abilities on the ice, level headedness in crucial situations, and compassion for his teammates"
Kodsi is one of eleven members of the New Hampshire Mountain Kings to make a college hockey commitment.
