Danbury Defenseman Uzzell makes NCAA Commitment

The Danbury Hat Tricks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Chance Uzzell has committed to play NCAA hockey for Curry College in the CNE.

The 6’1 blueliner from Woodstock, Georgia is heading to skate with the Colonels in Milton, Massachusetts in the fall. The ‘04 righty is a first-year skater in the NAHL. He started his season with the Rochester Jr. Americans before being acquired by the Hat Tricks. In the 16 games wearing the red, white, and blue, Uzzell tallied a goal and three assists. His lone goal was an important goal since it was a game-winning goal in a contest. Once he was acquired by the Hat Tricks, the Georgia native laced up in 31 games, scoring seven goals and notching 12 assists. Two of his seven goals were the decider in the contests and one goal was scored on the man advantage.

This season Uzzell was selected as a Top Prospect and skated on the undefeated Selects Black team. While at the USA Hockey Arena, the 6’1 righty tallied two assists in the two games played.

The blueliner will be heading to Curry College with a fellow NAHL skater, Jett Otwell from the Elmira Aviators in the fall.

Watching Uzi bring his experience to our team and increase his stock with his consistent play was a sight to see. Curry is getting a charismatic person who will for sure bring his own swagger to a deep Curry program!”

Uzzell is one of eleven members of the Danbury Hat Tricks to make a college hockey commitment.
