Rochester Forward Humphreys makes NCAA Commitment

The Rochester Jr. Americans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward JC Humphreys has committed to play NCAA hockey for SUNY-Cortland in the SUNYAC.
The Pennsylvania native will be skating with the Red Dragons in the fall. Humphreys is a 5’9 righty and is a first-year skater for Rochester. The 21-year-old laced up in 57 games and found the back of the net seven times, while producing 14 assists. Two of his goals were the decider in the contest. The ‘04 forward featured a +10 rating for the season. Humphreys played a handful of games in the prior seasons with the Janesville Jets in the NAHL and Oregon Tradesmen in the NA3HL.
Humphreys will not be heading to SUNY-Cortland with his fellow teammate, Alex Zakrzewkski.
Head Coach of the Jr. Americans, Francois Methot, shares more on what he has seen from Humphreys.
“As a free agent last summer, JC earned his spot on our roster through hard work and determination—and ultimately became a key contributor during our playoff run. His relentless work ethic will be a great asset at the college level, and we’re confident he’ll have a successful four years in a strong Cortland program.”
Humphreys is one of sixteen members of the Rochester Jr. Americans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
