Former NAHL skater, Maxon Vig, drafted by the Montréal Canadiens

One skater with North American Hockey League (NAHL) ties was selected in the 2025 NHL Draft, which was held on June 27-28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. 

Former Oklahoma Warrior, Maxon Vig, was the 209th overall pick by the Montréal Canadiens, in the 2025 NHL Draft. The Bismarck, North Dakota native hit the ice for the Warriors in the 2023-24 season. The 6’2 blueliner laced up in 58 regular season contests where he found the back of the net eight times and produced 16 assists. The ‘05 lefty featured a +14 rating during that year. Vig will be skating with the Beavers at Bemidji State University in the fall.
