Oklahoma Forward Ashton makes NCAA Commitment

The Oklahoma Warriors of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Charlie Ashton has committed to play NCAA hockey for University of Dubuque in the NCHA.
The 20-year-old from the State of Hockey will be skating with the Spartans in the fall. Ashton is a first-year skater in the league and hit the ice for 56 gamers with the Warriors. Over the course of the season, the 6’4 skater found the back of the net three times and produced 14 assists. The Oakdale, Minnesota native ranks third with his 14 assists and tied fourth with his 17 total points on the year for Oklahoma. Ashton was effective on the power play with half of his assists being produced on the man advantage.
Head Coach of the Warriors, Mick Berge, shares his excitement for Ashton’s commitment.
“We are very excited for Charlie to take the next step in his hockey career at the NCAA level. His growth really shined through towards the end of our season and I believe it reignited his passion for the game. We thank him for his time here in Oklahoma and wish him all the best as he starts his collegiate career.”
Ashton is one of five members of the Oklahoma Warriors to make a college ice hockey commitment.
