Maryland Defenseman Brockman makes NCAA Commitment

The Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Sebastien Brockman has committed to play NCAA hockey for Aurora University in the NCHA.
The California native will be skating with the Spartans in the fall in Illinois. The 6’6 blueliner is a third-year skater of the Black Bears. This past year the Assistant Captain hit the ice for 58 games and found the back of the net four times while producing eight assists. The ‘04 lefty laced up for 48 games during the 2023-2024 season and featured three goals and six assists. Brockman made his debut in April of 2023 and did a two-game call-up with the Maryland team.
Brockman will be joining his older brother, Jacob Brockman, at Aurora University. This will be the first time the two brothers have skated with each other in their hockey-playing career. Jacob Brockman played with the Maryland Black Bears during the 2021-2022 season before heading to Aurora in the fall of 2022.
Head Coach of the Black Bears, Clint Mylymok, went into detail on the impact Brockman has had on the Maryland organization.
“Sebastien has been a tremendous teammate, leader, and big brother to the younger players during his tenure in Maryland. He is an outstanding human being, and I am going to miss his sense of humor and his positive attitude around the arena. I am excited he gets the opportunity to play college hockey with his brother Jacob, a former Maryland Black Bear. I look forward to watching both of them continue their academic and athletic development.”
Brockman is the thirteenth member of the Maryland Black Bears to make a college hockey commitment.
