New Mexico Forward Johannson makes NCAA Commitment

The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Johnny Johannson has committed to play NCAA hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College in the MIAC.
The 6’0 lefty is heading back home to his home state of Minnesota to skate with the Golden Gusties in St. Peter, Minnesota. Johannson is a second-year skater of the Ice Wolves. This season he laced up in 65 games and found the back of the net nine times while producing 16 assists. Two of his nine goals were the decider in the matchups. The 21-year-old made his league debut during the 2023-2024 season and hit the ice in 33 contests for the New Mexico team. He tallied two goals and two assists, with one of his goals being the game-winning goal.
Johannson is one of seven members of the New Mexico Ice Wolves to make a college ice hockey commitment.
