St. Cloud Defenseman Miller makes NCAA DI Commitment

The St. Cloud Norsemen of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Kyle Miller has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
A third-year veteran of the Norsemen, Miller has served as one of the top blueliners in the league. During the regular season, the California native ranked second among defensemen with 53 assists and 66 total points for the regular season. He features a league-leading 27 power play assists and has found the back of the net 13 times this season. The 20-year-old played a critical role for the Norsemen on the scoresheet. The 5’9 lefty led his team with 66 points, notching 1.12 points per game. This season he was named Defenseman of the Month with his work on the ice for February. Miller put on a thriller during the month of love and dished four goals and 11 assists over nine games for St. Cloud. The ‘04 skater was also named a Top Prospect for the Central Division team at the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament.
Last season, the Norsemen recorded nine goals and 33 assists. He featured a +18 rating over the 59 games. In his debut season, he laced up in 18 contests before returning to his home state of California for the rest of the year.

Head coach of the Norsemen, Joe Exter, shares his excitement for Miller’s future with the Nanooks.
“We could not be happier for Kyle. He deserves this outstanding opportunity. Every team is looking for an excellent skating, puck-moving, defenseman that can run a power play. That is what Kyle is. To top it off, he is a remarkable person who will make any team better. Fairbanks hit a home run getting Kyle.”
Miller is the eighth member of the St. Cloud Norsemen to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
