Wisconsin Takes Series Advantage

Zach Cline had a goal in the Windigo's 4-0 Game 3 victory
Anchorage 0 @ Wisconsin 4 (Wisconsin leads Midwest Division Finals 2-1): In Game 3 of the Midwest Division Finals, four different goal scorers and a 22-save shutout from Beau Altman gave the Wisconsin Windigo a 4-0 win, and a 2-1 series lead heading back to Anchorage. Late in the first, strong play below the dots found the stick of Theodore Richardson, and he gave the home squad an early lead heading into the first intermission. Early in the second, a Richardson centering pass found a wide-open Logan Nickolaus, and he buried it to double the Windigo lead. Just before the midway point of the period, a point blast from Alexios Georgaklis deflected through multiple people, but the stick of Zachary Cline would be credited with the goal, and the Windigo lead grew to three. Late in the middle frame, with a Wolverine in the box for boarding, the fiery Windigo powerplay went to work, and eight seconds later, a pretty passing play found the stick of Hunter Hayes, and he beat Michael Manzi to extend the lead to four heading into the final frame. The Wolverines fought desperately to get back into the game, but nine saves from Altman in the final frame shut the door, while Manzi would finish with 17 in the loss.
