During that year he tallied 12 goals, produced 15 assists, and featured a +22 rating. The next two seasons he would spend with the Odessa Jackalopes. In his debut year in the NAHL, he scored six goals and made five assists over 35 contests. This past season, the 21-year-old laced up in 57 matchups and scored 11 goals while making 17 assists for the Texas squad.
Head coach of the Jackalopes, Scott Deur, shares his excitement for Tavare.
“Christian has been a constant professional for the last two seasons. His work ethic on and off the ice is hard to match. He has spent a lot of time working with youth hockey players in our community and was a fan favorite. We look forward to seeing him at the collegiate level and watching him continue to grow as a hockey player and a human.”
Tavare is one of three members of the Odessa Jackalopes to make a college ice hockey commitment.
