New Jersey Defenseman Kim makes NCAA DI Commitment

The New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Kyle Kim has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Boston University in the Hockey East conference.
Second-year blueliner of the Titans, Kim will be skating with the Terriers in the fall. The 6’2 righty from Korea laced up in 50 contests with New Jersey this season. He found the back of the net three times, one of them being the decider, and produced 30 assists. Kim led the Titans' defensemen in goals (3), assists (30), and total points (33). He featured a 0.66 point per game and ranks third overall on New Jersey with 15 power play assists.
Kim went into detail on why he is thrilled to be hitting campus in the fall.
“I am proud to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey at Boston University. Thank you to all my family members, friends, teammates, and coaches who have helped me get to this point. Excited for what the future holds!”
Head coach of the New Jersey Titans, George Haviland, shares his excitement for Kim to be joining Boston University.
“Kyle is an elite skater with super offensive abilities as a defenseman which puts him in a category to be able to play in the Hockey East conference for Boston University. One of Kyle’s best traits is his skating ability. As a defenseman, he shutdowns and stalls offensive plays from the opposing teams, giving him the confidence we need to make big-time defensive plays when needed. It wasn’t long until we moved Kyle to run our power play on the point. He was one of the main reasons why our power play sat at the top of the NA for most of the year! Thanks to his work ethic, confidence on and off the ice, composure with the puck, and defensive ability, he quietly and quickly made himself attractive to multiple Hockey East schools. We are extremely proud of Kyle's accomplishments this year and Kimmer will be severely missed here at the New Jersey Titans. Kyle has an extremely high ceiling and his development is not even close to being done yet. We wish him the best of luck at BU and he will continue to be a standard for defensemen here in New Jersey going forward.”
Kim is the 12th member of the New Jersey Titans to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
