105 NAHL Alumni Hit the Ice for the NCAA Men’s Hockey Championship

The stage is set as the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey Championship kicks off for the first-round games on Thursday, March 27, 2025. The North American Hockey League is proud to announce that 105 athletes with NAHL connections will be featured in the tournament across the 16 participating teams. 

Regional play kicks off today in a single-elimination style of play. The round of 16 is split up between four regional sites. The Toledo, Ohio, and Fargo, North Dakota sites have their matchups today, while the Manchester, New Hampshire, and Allentown, Pennsylvania sites kick off their games tomorrow. The four regional winners will move on to the Frozen Four in St. Louis, Missouri. 

Bentley College features the most athletes with NAHL ties. The Falcons have 13 former NAHLers lacing up against Boston College on Friday afternoon. Between the pipes for Bentley is former Odessa Jackalope Connor Hasley. He is a third-year netminder for the Falcons, and this season, he has a 1.95 goals against average and a .928 save percentage.

Western Michigan University’s squad features 10 NAHL alumni hitting the ice. One of the top scorers on the Broncos is former Bismarck Bobcat, Owen Michaels. The 6’0 forward ranks third on his team with 14 goals and tied for fourth with his 30 points on the year.

The Janesville Jets feature the most former skaters in the 2025 Men’s Hockey Championship with 10 former athletes playing across eight of the 16 teams in the tournament.
