Watertown Forward Gingher makes NCAA DIII Commitment

The Watertown Shamrocks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Ryan Gingher has committed to play NCAA Division III for St. Norbert College in the NCHA.

Heading to the five-time national championship program, Gingher will be skating the Green Knights in the fall. He is a 6’1 lefty that has suited up in the league for the past four seasons. The Dublin, Ohio native has tallied 10 goals and produced 13 assists for the Shamrocks. Last season he spent his time with the El Paso Rhinos and notched 10 points (6-4–10) on the year. 

On his squad he sits in fourth overall with his 23 points on the season and leads the Shamrocks with his six power play goals on the year. Gingher also had the opportunity to play at the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament. He skated with the Selects Black and went undefeated with the team.

“We are extremely proud of Ryan for his commitment to St. Norbert. He has the opportunity to play for a top-end program with great academics. St. Norbert is getting a natural leader, who is consistent, heavy on pucks, and has a knack for scoring goals around the net.”

St. Norbert College is currently in the quarterfinals of the Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship. For the regular season, they feature a 23-5-1 record. The squad features 22 NAHL alumni and are in the hunt for their sixth national championship.

Gingher is one of five members of the Watertown Shamrocks to make a college ice hockey commitment.
