The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) is proud to announce that defenseman Jack Demoura has committed to play NCAA Division III for Albertus Magnus in the NEHC.

Fourth-year skater of the Generals, Jack Demoura, is heading to Connecticut in the fall. The 5’9 blueliner from Taunton, Massachusetts has played in over 100 games with the Generals. This season, the ‘04 skater has found the back of the net once and produced eight assists over 45 matchups. Last season, Demoura produced five assists over 49 games.

Head coach of the Generals, Bryan Erickson, shares what it means to have a skater like Demoura on his squad.

“Jack is the greatest. He is what you look for when you choose a Captain, a player and person that puts others first and the team before himself.  He is such an amazing young man both on and off the ice and it has truly been my honor to coach him the past five years. His work ethic and compete level will be impossible to replace. He practices just like he plays, throwing his body in front of pucks, finishing hits and making life very difficult for guys trying to get to the net.”

Erikson continued “Jack is so incredibly tough. Just a true warrior. He broke his leg at the beginning 2022 season and it was a devastating injury. Numerous surgeries, a rod put in his leg, pins, you name it! It was a very scary situation and he had a long stay in the hospital.  But the day he got out he started working his way back and was back on the ice within 60 days. Just amazing stuff. And he came back the next year better than he was before. You can’t teach the toughness he has. There is no quit in him. He is going to be an amazingly successful person both on the ice and in life. Albertus is getting a great person and player and we couldn’t be more proud to watch his career continue.”

Demoura is the tenth member of the Northeast Generals to make a college ice hockey commitment.
